My Candida journey and how it all began: Athletes Foot
The title of this blog is a bit misleading because I knew I had a candida problem prior to contracting foot fungus because I’ve had recurrent vaginal thrush and the whitest, frothiest, most hidiously looking tongue for as long as I can remember! I can’t remember ever having a pink tongue! But I got used to it… I’d brush vigorously whenever I had to go to the dentist or whenever someone would look into my mouth and I had the chance to clean it up first. I didn’t worry too much about it. But part of me did though; I suppressed half of my concern, and the other half of the concern disappeared in brain fog.
Fast forward to 2.5 years ago or thereabouts… directly after the colonics. I had had such great success with my colonic treatments as per my previous blog posts that I decided that I was going to try some other healing protocols. Namely, I decided on massage and I went and had a neck and shoulder massage; then 2, then 3 then 4. I thought, “I’m going to pummel” disease out of me. The massages were wonderful. And after having had several, I decided to get the full body treatment and the foot treatment too. This was all in a Chinese massage therapy centre where different lads or ladies would take care of you, each with their own nuance, but operating without the chinese tradition. The massages became more therapeutic and less “relaxing". I was being slapped around weekly, or pummeled might be more apt to say; and I could sense I was detoxing more and more.
My first (and last) foot treatment brought terrifying results however. Two days later following the treatment which was excrutiatingly painful I developed “foot fungus". A problem which has plagued me since that day.
One might quickly offer this simple explanation; that I “picked it up” from the centre… but on reflection I didn’t and still don’t think this was the case. The massage (as well as the ones before) had been extremely intense and vigorous, to the point of painful at times, and it is my view that the squeezing of the feet and toes brought to the surface what was already inside: yeast, and lots of it.
And, it was not long after “contracting” athletes foot that my systemic candida really break loose and showed itself in new and frightening ways and started playing horrendous havoc throughout my body… My being was literally being taken over by fungus.
