Royce ElliottHi Jane
I had a retinal tear in January...bled into my eye and had it laser sealed. During the next 6 months I developed tinnitus and the sight of 100s of small, glassy, wriggling, darting creatures swimming in all directions across my visual field. they were especially visible against bright back grounds.

I have gone to 5 different opthamologists who "kindly" told me I was experiencing vitreol changes and worms! All of them just listened to be blankly and then all of them dismissed my alledged symptoms with...If they were worms, we would see them with our microscope...worms are too small for you to see yourself...we don't see inflamation...if you had worms you would have that..on and on.
The last Dr. flippantly said...Go see an infectious medicine doctor...I have yet to make that journey.
I am going to take your advise about adding iodine supplements to my diet and I will keep an eye on your site to keep up with your progress. I'm glad
I am not alone and have someone who has traveled this road ahead of me....Thanks, Roy

Though this is an old blog, I can really relate to it. My sister has almost become estranged from me through this experience, and it's when I need her most.

Are things better with your family at the present time?

Hi Artbirdy

It's very sad when the people that are closest to you don't understand what you are going through. With hindsight now, I don't blame my family at all for being the way they were. I don't think they'll ever understand what I went through when my symptoms were really bad.

The sheer mention of parasites or worms puts many people off. Talking about it, that's nothing. But when your suffering it's a totally different matter. It can take over your life. With regards to family, I just got to the stage where I just wouldn't talk about it anymore, it just wasn't worth it. I don't talk about it even today.

My health situation is much, much better now. I feel really great.

As for my family, the situation is fine.

Hi Roy

Thank you for your comment.

With regards to what you see in your eyes, mmmmm?? it does sound pretty weird. 'wriggling, darting....'

I can relate to what you describe but what I see in my eyes don't appear to move on their own, or wriggle about. They just look like worms, tiny, tiny worms. When I move my eyes from side to side, that's when I see them move, quite freely.

Here is the link to my post I did on what I see in my eyes. I describe in more detail what I see.
