Another Gory Parasite Micrograph
I was reading another blog and I found it rather interesting where they spoke of parasites having parasites! I relate to this because it’s what was found in one of my samples I had tested. I want to post a micrograph from my results I received which clearly shows a parasite within another parasite. It still freaks me out to this day. And that’s what’s inside me!
From the notes I received along with my micrographs it was noted
“Something curious I observed is a possible ‘parasite within the parasite’ because the nematode seemed to be infected/infested itself by another organism or even by others. I observed possible similar organisms in your stool and in your sputum [not shown but grown] which may possibly suggest that this infesting organism[s]?] could be more significant as a source of illness than the large nematode itself.”
Here is the micrograph in question:
Additional notes pertaining to this micrograph “The micrograph above shows the ‘organism’ protruding through the nematode. The organism was followed through the nematode and was observed across the entire structure. It seems to display internal structures.”
I have many other micrographs to show from my results. I will, in future blogs. I still have a hard time viewing these which I’m sure you can understand.
