Lab Testing for Parasites, Fungus, Pathogens & Toxins
Years ago, I came across a published article about parasites of a pathologist who speaks out about this problem.
Article ? 2005 American Society for Clinical Pathology
Parasites Not Just ‘Foreign Objects’
Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, at home or abroad, it is important to guard against parasitic infection. Both domestic and foreign travel can present special infectious hazards warn two experts on parasitic infections, members of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). “Many people mistakenly believe that parasitic infections are uncommon in the United States,” said Tsieh Sun, MD, chief and professor of clinical pathology at North Shore University Hospital-Cornell University Medical College, Manhasset, NY….
…Unfortunately, pathologists are now encountering some parasites that affect everyone, even those with normal immunity.?
I receive a number of emails asking if I know someone who can help them regarding their health either for diagnosis or treatment. I don’t know of anyone that I can recommend, but found a number of sources on the internet that may help people in their search for answers. This can’t be stressed enough – find someone who will take a genuine interests in you. In considering that you maybe desperate or scared, you want to put some thought into who is willing to go the extra mile for you whether the practitioner is allopathic or in alternative health.
What Kind of Doctor Should I See?
If you’re interested in having a physician treat you through your medical coverage, you can try an Immunologist, Tropical Disease physician, or an Infectious Disease doctor. Try to find out if the practitioner has had training or did work in an undeveloped country, because their experience would be invaluable especially in identifying unusual symptoms. Ask your potential doctor if they are open to receiving tests from certified labs that they don’t use, as a second opinion; if they do, you might have someone who is willing to work with you.
What About Alternative Health Help?
After you feel that you’ve exhausted all your options with physicians, there might be help with alternative health practitioners and labs. You want to find someone who has had experience in treating parasites, molds, or diagnosing unusual symptoms. Below are some resources that you can look into.
An online general health analysis test to determine possible diseases and conditions. There is also on this site a worldwide Naturopath Doctor directory.
Last year I did a post on resorts and retreats around the world.? You might consider going on a vacation in one of the listings.
It might be very helpful to read this site by Scott Forsgren before you get tested for suspected Lyme. He suggests a numbers of labs for Lyme testing.
Parasites, Pathogens & Toxins
For listings of individual clinics or lab testing facilities, you can do a Google search with the following tags: “labs parasites, mold, bacteria, toxins".? A number of labs will appear. You may need to go deeper in the page listings to find a suitable lab. I have found some of my best research on the internet when I go beyond 7-10 pages listed.
Just a note of caution…. If you read my blog posts on labs, you’ll get a better understanding on how they operate.?
Although this post is largely aimed at poor results with parasitic nematodes, this also applies to the fungi family of organisms that are also highly overlooked and dismissed by doctors. Bottom line, if robotic labs don’t have it programmed within the system, the condition doesn’t really exists. It is unfortunate but your condition could be viewed as psychosomatic and depression. Be sure to ask if the lab has a microscopists or biologist who will spend time with your sample.
If you’re unable to find a good lab that you can trust, you might want to search out a microscopists or biologist who will do the work for you.
Again, I have never used any of the above resources. If you contact any of them and have used their services, please let me know your experience because I’m collecting information on those who can help people with ‘unexplained’ infections. I would certainly like to bring attention to legitimate, trustworthy, and caring practitionerswho are doing good in the world.
